As metal, do these materials attract lightning?

Metal is a good electrical conductor and therefore all installations are properly grounded, which makes external coatings absolutely safe.

How is the installation system?

In facade – we fix an auxiliary metallic structure attached to a main and we put the coating or for greater flatness we fix in the structure a floor and then a layer of vapor barrier (felt) and finally the coating on top.

In roofs – we adopt the double layer of wood with the core of glass wool or rock / stone + felt and finally the tile.

In all facade or roofing installations, a layer of glass or rock wool is used. This layer is placed between the frame. In some cases we make a double layer of wood with the core of glass wool or rock.

What would be the patina of copper?

How long does it take for the copper to oxidize (green / patina) naturally?

It varies in relation to the aggressors in the region where it was installed. For example places near the sea (sea) the formation of the patina is fast and around 2 to 3 years we can see the green distributed in the coating.

But in a place with few attackers this time can reach 25 years.

The chemical process is applied to copper and takes 15 days to become green. The patina of N.Didini is the one that most resembles the natural patina caused by the time. Today 60% of N.Didini’s production has patinated copper.

There is a limitation of the coil for each type of metal. Therefore we indicate to choose which metal like coating and from this we indicate the best modulation.

We work with all metals in coils and plates with different thicknesses. Everything is evaluated according to the projects.

Does N.Didini do the executive project?

Yes. After hiring we carry out an executive project demonstrating the pagination for his work. After approval of this project we continue to manufacture.

How long does the lacquering last for natural copper?

In places without many aggressors 5 years. After this, it should be part of the maintenance of the work to verify if there is a need for future application of varnish.

In places with a lot of aggression like the sea, the duration is 2 to 3 years.

Does N.Didini work with variable facade modulations? Or does the product need to be tailored to fit the design?
